Protection can change the look, too.

Paint protection film, usually called PPF, is a protective film fitted to the painted surfaces of your vehicle. It adds a physical barrier that helps absorb everyday wear from road debris, stone chips, and light surface scuffs. Coverage can concentrate on exposed panels or extend across the exterior. PPF is especially worth considering when you want to preserve paint you already like and reduce the wear that comes with regular driving.

The choice is no longer limited to a clear gloss film. Clear gloss PPF keeps the original paint color and its reflective appearance. Satin or matte PPF changes how the underlying color reflects light, while colored PPF combines a different exterior color with paint-protection properties. The exact finish and features depend on the selected product. At CoastalGloss, we discuss the way you drive, the panels you want protected, and the look you want before choosing coverage and material.

Keep the color you already love

Clear gloss PPF

A transparent, glossy film lets the original paint remain the focus. It suits drivers who want protection while maintaining the character of the existing finish. Coverage can be concentrated on exposed areas or applied more extensively for a consistent protected exterior.

  • Original paint color stays visible
  • Glossy, reflective appearance
  • Targeted or full exterior coverage

NO CORNERS
CUT.

No corners cut: a careful PPF installation starts with the paint condition and ends with the details around each panel. The material’s instructions guide the fitting method.

Agree the coverage

We inspect the paint and map the areas to protect. Existing chips, repairs, and surface defects are discussed first. The coverage plan explains where film ends, where edges can be wrapped, and where the vehicle’s construction limits access.

Prepare the panels

The surface is washed and decontaminated, with extra attention around badges, seams, and panel gaps. Any agreed paint refinement happens before film installation. Clean panels and a controlled working area help limit trapped contamination.

Position & fit the film

Suitable patterns or carefully planned fitting methods are used for the vehicle. Most clear PPF uses a wet installation process; some colored films use different methods. We follow the selected film’s guidance, managing alignment, tension, and solution removal.

Finish & inspect

Accessible edges are finished where the material and panel allow. The installation is checked for fit, adhesion, and areas needing attention as the film settles. We explain the initial care period and how to wash around film edges.
